Roberto Azevêdo

Roberto Azevedo cropped.jpgRoberto Carvalho de Azevêdo (born 3 October 1957) is a Brazilian diplomat and the current Director-General of the World Trade Organization. Azevêdo was elected to succeed Pascal Lamy as Director-General of the World Trade Organization in May 2013. He assumed office on 1 September, 2013.

Pascal Lamy

Photo P Lamy-2.jpgPascal Lamy (born 8 April 1947) was the Director-General of the World Trade Organization until 1 September 2013. His appointment took effect on 1 September 2005 for a four-year term. In April 2009, WTO members reappointed Mr. Lamy for a second four-year term, beginning on 1 September 2009. He is to be succeeded by Roberto Azevêdo. He is also a French political advisor, a businessman, and a former European Commissioner for Trade. Lamy is currently the Honorary President of Paris-based think tank Notre Europe.

Supachai Panitchpakdi

Supachai Panitchpakdi.jpgSupachai Panitchpakdi (Thai: ศุภชัย พานิชภักดิ์, RTGS: Supphachai Phanitchaphak; born May 30, 1946 in Bangkok, Thailand) was Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) from 1 September 2005 to 31 August 2013. Prior to this, he was the Director-General of the World Trade Organization from September 1, 2002 to September 1, 2005. He was succeeded by Pascal Lamy.

Peter Sutherland

Peter-Sutherland-2011.jpgPeter Denis Sutherland, KCMG, SC (born 25 April 1946) is an Irish international businessman and former Attorney General of Ireland, associated with the Fine Gael party (part of the European People's Party bloc). He is a barrister by profession, and is also Senior Counsel at the Irish Bar. He is also known for serving in a variety of business and political roles.

University College Dublin law school is to be named the Sutherland School of Law following the completion of its rebuild in 2012. He is a chairman of Goldman Sachs International.
